It might lack the budget of Breaking Bad, but an episode in Bago region has struck a resemblance to the hit US series about a teacher who sells crystal meth.

Maung Maung Soe, 51, a middle school headteacher in Waw township, was arrested after police seized one gram of crystal meth, or “ice,” and 1,300 yaba pills—caffeine-laced meth tablets.

Police were alerted to Maung Maung Soe after arresting on July 5 another local man, Bo Bo Zin, 30, who had eight yaba pills, according to 7Day News. Bo Bo Zin told police he had bought the drugs from the teacher.

Police have charged both men with three offences under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law, which criminalises possession of a small amount of drug with a jail term of between five or 10 years. However, the amount of drugs found in the teacher’s office may lead to even more severe punishment.
